Pomona College Physical Education Table Tennis Class Takes Clinic With Olympian Wei Wang

The Pomona College Table Tennis Class took a field trip to Olympian Wei Wang's Pasadena Table Tennis Club this past week.  The class took a clinic with Wang and then competed against the club members. 

Wei Wang is a US Champion, a US Olympian, a US Hall of Famer, and one of the most acclaimed coaches in the United States.

Wei spent the early part of her career as one the top players of the Beijing Provincial Team. After immigrating, Wei became US Champion and was a member of the US Olympic Team.  In 2002 she was inducted into the USATT Hall of Fame.  She writes technical articles for the national publication USA Table Tennis Magazine, and is the author of the top-selling instructional video, "Table Tennis 101".  She has been teaching for over twenty years and is known for her uncanny ability to really technical information in a manner accessible to everyone, which makes quick, solid improvement possible.

Wei has been a consultant in table tennis related movies and TV productions, such as "Forrest Gump", "Friends", "Balls of Fury", "Rules of Engagement" and many others.
