McCafferty earned Third Team All-West Region honors as a shortstop while Knapp also earned Third Team All-West honors as an outfielder.
McCafferty ended the season with a .351 batting average with a team-high 61 hits. He tallied 30 RBI this season and tied for the most runs scored on the team with 38. McCafferty also played all of his games at shortstop this season for the Sagehens where he compiled a .937 fielding percentage.
Knapp helped lead the offense for the Sagehens this season as the sophomore spent the majority of the season in the leadoff spot in the lineup. Knapp hit for a .340 average and led the Sagehens with eight home runs, 38 RBI and slugged .566.
The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 9,600 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth. The 75th annual ABCA Convention will be held Jan. 3-6, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.
