Elan Harris and Sagehens Football Impact Youth At SHYFT
April 25, 2018SHYFT is a youth football camp that is geared to provide children ages 6-13 from local elementary and middle schools free access to the game of football. In addition to having the children learn the game, it was an opportunity for the members of Sagehens Football to serve as positive role models to the campers by teaching life lessons and encouraging them to strive for success on and off the field. -
Record-High 12 Seniors Named To NFF Honor Society
April 12, 2018A record-high 12 student-athletes from the Pomona-Pitzer Football Program were selected into the 2018 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday. This honor was given to college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.20 GPA or better throughout their college careers. -
Aseal Birir Named CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American
December 13, 2017The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the selection of Aseal Birir of the Pomona-Pitzer Football Program to the 2017 First Team Academic All-American on Wednesday afternoon. This honor is given to student-athletes who have excelled on the gridiron and in the classroom. -

November 21, 2017The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognized three members of the Pomona-Pitzer Football Program for their performance this season on Tuesday morning. Senior Aseal Birir received the John Zinda Award for his achievements on and off the field throughout his career while Evan Lloyd and Robert Ciafullo were given Second Team All-SCIAC for their contributions to the Sagehens’ this season. -
