Turnovers were the story of the game for the Sagehens in their match against the Bruins. Pomona-Pitzer ended the day with four turnovers off of interceptions, all four of which happened inside the first half.
The first score of the game came on the first offensive play for the Sagehens; however, it was George Fox coming away with points as a pick-six gave the Bruins a 7-0 lead.
The Sagehen defense came back with a goal line stand after turning the ball over again on their next possession but their third interception of the quarter led to George Fox extending their lead as they scored just two plays later to push their lead to 13-0.
Pomona-Pitzer had chances to get inside the endzone in the first half but the redzone offense wasn't clicking as drives stalled out and forced the Sagehens to settle for field goals. Cameron Coe connected on two field goals in the first half to give the Sagehens points on the board and cut the deficit down to 13-6.
The Bruins added one more score to their total before halftime as they went 73 yards on nine plays for the score to hold a 19-6 lead heading into halftime.
The offense couldn't get it going in the second half as the Bruins shutout the Sagehens in the third and fourth quarter.
George Fox added two more touchdowns to their total in the third quarter as they held a 33-6 lead over the Sagehens heading into the fourth. The Bruins also had the only touchdown of the fourth quarter as the Sagehens fell for the first time of 2018 in their final non-conference game of the season.
