Men's Golf: Sagehens Finish Fifth At Day Two Of SCIAC Championships

CHINO HILLS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team finished day two of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships in fifth place on Monday morning at Los Serranos Country Club.

The Sagehens currently sit in fifth overall with a two-day score of 595, which is just five strokes behind fourth place Cal Lutheran at 590. CMS Currently sits in first at 568, Redlands in second at 576 and La Verne in third at 588.

The Sagehens were led Owen Rosebeck who currently sits tied for fifth after his 73 in round one and a 72 today for a score of 145. Thomas Verigin jumped up in the rankings after shooting a 78 in round one, he came out with a team-low 69 in round two to finish tied for 11th overall with a score of 147.

Hunter Lowry ended day two tied for 20th overall with a 72 in round one and a 78 in round two for a score of 150 and Conor Rooney finished just behind Lowry in a tie for 28th with a 78 and a 75 for a score of 153.

Jack Carrigan and Spencer Katchman both finished tied for 44th overall as Carrigan shot an 80 and an 81 while Katchman shot an 82 in round one and a 79 in round two for a score of 161.

The SCIAC Championships wrap up after tomorrow's round with tee times beginning at 9:00 a.m.
