CLAREMONT, Ca. – Freshman Lukas Menkhoff was tabbed as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office.
Menkhoff had an incredible performance this weekend as the Sagehens and Stags met in the Sixth Street Rivalry swim meet on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
The Sagehens and Menkhoff opened up with a victory in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, finishing at 3:20.04, setting the Haldeman Pool Record and making the NCAA B cut. Later in the first day, Menkhoff was part of the 200 Freestyle Relay that took first at 1:23.57, setting the Haldeman Pool record.
In day two of the meet, Nikhil Kundu, Lukas Menkhoff, Ryan Drover, and Adrian Hui combined for a first-place finish at 1:30.97. Their time made it past the NCAA B cuts and set the new Haldeman Pool record.
Menkhoff then ended his meet with a blistering fast performance in the 100 Breaststroke, taking first at 55.17, setting the pool record, making the NCAA B cuts, and beating the 2017 Invited time.
