Men's Tennis: No. 9 Sagehens Finish Northwest Trip with Win Over Pacific

Walla Walla, WA – The No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis team finished their trip to Washington with a 7-2 win over Pacific (Ore.) Sunday afternoon.

Season Impact: The Sagehens improve to 2-1 heading into their first SCIAC match.

Doubles

The Sagehens swept the doubles portion of match winning in all three slots. Antony Bello and Avery Bicks won their match 8-2.

Sam Gearou and Josh Gearou teamed up to win 8-4, and Kalyan Chadalavada and Quinn Hirsohn won a close 9-8 match.

Singles

Marko Mandic scored a 6-1, 6-1 win in his singles match. Spencer Simonides bested Josh Bernstein winning 6-0, 6-3.

Hirsohn came through in singles match beating Sage Katayama 6-2, 6-1. Sam Gearou won his match against Griffin Fraser 6-1, 6-2.

Next Match: The Sagehens open SCIAC play next Saturday, February 11 first at Cal Lutheran at 11 a.m. then against the Occidental Tigers at Scholl Canyon at 3:30 p.m.
