10 Members of Men's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2018 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday, July 24. The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Tennis program earned a spot on the All-Academic team and 10 members of the Sagehens were named All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.

"It's incredible to see this team make it on the All-Academic list again," said Head Coach Steve Bickham. "This program has established a strong culture of excelling in the classroom and representing the values of Pomona and Pitzer College." 

The All-Academic Team award is given to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or higher. To earn Scholar-Athlete status, the student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a GPA of at least 3.50 during the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

In total, 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis were given this award.
