Women's Golf: Sagehens Open 2018 With First Place Finish At Whittier Invitational.

CHINO HILLS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf team opened up 2018 with a win in the Whittier Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Los Serranos Gold Course.

The Sagehens shot a day-low score of 315 to finish in first place at the Whittier Invitational while Whittier College finished in second with 323. Occidental in third at 334 and Chapman in fourth with 385.

Pomona-Pitzer was led by Sophia Hui and Priscilla Ki who both finished tied for first place with a score of 78.

Kaitlin Robertson finished just behind in a tie for fifth overall with a score of 79 and Gabrielle Herzig finished one stroke behind Robertson in a tie for seventh with a score of 80.

Rounding out the top-five for the Sagehens was Andi Chaloult with an overall score of 82, which landed her in a tie for ninth and Catherine Lott ended the day in a tie for 15th with a score of 88.

Up Next: The Sagehens will next compete in the Maurice Walker Championship on Saturday, February 10th at Via Verde beginning at 12:00 p.m.
