SAN BERNARDINO, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf team finished the SCIAC 1 Tournament in second place with a final score of 637 on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Country Club.
The Sagehens finished in second behind first place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps who ended the day with a score of 619. Cal Lutheran finished behind the Sagehens in third with a score of 644, Whittier took fourth at 672, Chapman finished in fifth at 676, Redlands in sixth at 686 and Occidental in seventh with a score of 695.
The Sagehens were led by Gabrielle Herzig who tied for fifth overall with a score of 158 with an 81 in round one and a 77 in round two.
Just behind Herzig was Andi Chaloult and Priscilla Ki who finished tied for eighth overall with a score of 159. Chaloult shot an even two rounds with a 79 in round one and an 80 in round two while Ki shot an 82 in round one and bounced back with a 77 in round two.
Sophia Hui started out slow with an 88 in round one but came back and shot a round-low score of 75 in day two to finish with a tie for 15th overall with a score of 163.
Catherine Lott finished in 21st overall with a 91 in round one and a 78 in round two for a score of 169 and ending the day for the Sagehens was Kaitlin Robertson who shot an 89 and an 87 ending in a tie for 29th with a score of 176.
