Claremont, Calif. - Senior Kristen Lindbergh (pictured) won the 200-yard freestyle in her final home meet to help lead the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Swimming team to a 193-72 win over La Verne on Saturday morning.

With the win, the Sagehens are now 5-1 in SCIAC duals, and 6-1 overall, including a non-conference win over Lewis + Clark.

Lindbergh, who still holds school records in the 50-yard (24.35) and 100-yard freestyle (52.65), which she set as a sophomore, was also part of the winning freestyle relay team in her final event.

Sophomore Alex Lincoln won the 50-yard and 100-yard free, while junior Julia Ticus won the 500-yard. Freshman Nola Shi won the 100-yard breastroke and the 200-yard individual medley, while sophomore Kelsey Atkinson won both the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly events.

Atkinson nipped junior Charlotte Dohrn in the 200 fly, while freshman Gailyn Portelance just edged out freshman Mari Pettibone in the 200 breast as Sagehen teammates engaged in close races. Avery Barron won the diving competitions to give Pomona-Pitzer an additional 18 points.

Pomona-Pitzer will be back in action next weekend for its final dual meet of the season at Occidental on Saturday.
