Women's Tennis Has Ten ITA Scholar All-Americans

Claremont, Calif. - Ten members of the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis team earned Scholar All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, it was announced this week.

In addition, the Sagehens were one of 85 Division III Women's Tennis programs to earn All-Academic Team honors for overall team academic performance (the schools were not ranked by the ITA).

The ten players honored were Alex Antonoplis, Kristin Brikmanis, Sammy Chao, Marissa Cohen, Nicole Holsted, Jessica Hsu, Arthi Padmanabhan, Ellie Shanholt (pictured), Kara Wang, and Constance Wu.

The Sagehens had great success this year on the court as well, earning a top 15 ranking nationally and picking up two wins in the NCAA Tournament over Texas-Tyler and Trinity (Texas) before finishing as the West Region runner-up.
