Women's Tennis: Sagehens Face Trinity In NCAA Regionals

CLAREMONT, CA. – The No. 5 Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens will compete in the NCAA Regionals this upcoming weekend at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

The Sagehens drew a first round bye and will face off against Trinity (TX) in the second round on Saturday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m.

Pomona-Pitzer comes into the tournament with a 15-7 overall record and finished second in the SCIAC with an 8-2 conference record. The Sagehens fell in the SCIAC Championships to No. 1 ranked CMS 5-4 in a contest that came down to the final singles match.

Trinity earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament after they won their sixth-straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. The Tigers are currently the No. 16th ranked team in the nation and hold a 17-7 overall record.
