Women's Tennis: Hens Bounce Back With 9-0 Sweep over Panthers

ORANGE, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis Team got back on the winning track, taking down Chapman University 9-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Sagehens dominated from the start, losing only two sets in the doubles matches before seeing all six singles players win their matches in two sets.

Season Impact: The Sagehens improve to a 10-6 record overall and are 4-1 in the SCIAC.

Caroline Casper and Arianna Chen cruised to an 8-0 shutout in no. 1 doubles over Alisa Ogranovich and Vasilia Trofimova. In no. 2 doubles, Shivani Doraiswami and Emily Chen took down Madison Ross and Anna Kaplan 8-1. Jacinta Chen and Alexandra Ferry won 8-1 in no. 3 doubles over Delara Fotovatjah and Naomi Lee.

Casper picked up where she left off in doubles, taking down Ogranovich 6-0 and 6-3 in no. 1 singles. Doraiswami won her no. 2 singles match over Trofimova 6-4 and 6-0. Emily Chen took a 6-3 and 6-1 win over Kaplan in no. 3 singles and Arianna Chen won no. 4 over Fotovatjah 6-1 and 6-2. Ferry sealed no. 5 singles over Naomi Lee 6-2 and 6-1. Jacinta won no. 6 singles with a 6-1 and 6-0 win over Nusz.
