Women's Tennis: Casper Advances To Semifinals Of ITA Cup

ROME, Ga. -- Pomona-Pitzer senior Caroline Casper advanced in the ITA Cup with a win in the opening round over Michelle Uyeda of Linfield College on Thursday morning at the Rome Tennis Center.

Casper earned her way to the ITA Cup after winning the ITA Fall Regional Tournament with a 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 win over Catherine Allen of CMS.

"Caroline did a great job competing against an orthodox but very good competitor," said Head Coach Mike Morgan. "She learned a lot and is looking forward to tomorrow."

Casper defeated Uyeda in straight sets by the scores of 7-5, 6-4 in the quarterfinal matchup and will play the winner of Danna Taylor of Carnegie Mellon University and Lauren O'Malley of John Carroll University on Friday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. EST.
