Volleyball: Sagehens Fall to No. 2 CMS

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Julia Zwaal and Isabel Kelly each had double digit kills, but it wasn't enough Saturday night as the Pomona-Pitzer Volleyball team fell to No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in three sets.

Season Impact: The Sagehens fall to 12-10 overall and 7-6 in SCIAC play. They remain in fourth place in the conference with three SCIAC games remaining.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps improves to 19-2 overall and 11-2 in the SCIAC.

Set Scores: 25-18, 25-18, 25-11

Jessica Finn led all players with 27 assists and also had 10 digs.

Zwaal had 12 kills to go with 10 digs. Kelly had had 10 kills and eight digs. 

Sophie Janssen had a team high 12 digs. 

Senior Stephanie Sun had four kills to go with five digs. 

Next Match: Pomona-Pitzer returns to action next Tuesday in a home match against the Occidental Tigers. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
