Claremont, Calif. – Freshman Vicky-Marie Addo-Ashong put down a career-high 13 kills and the Pomona-Pitzer Volleyball team took a set from No. 2 Cal Lutheran.
But the Regals stormed back and won the final two sets, beating the Sagehens in four Saturday afternoon.
Season Impact: The Sagehens end the regular season with a record of 13-12 overall and 8-8 in SCIAC play. Pomona-Pitzer finishes in fourth place in the conference and advances to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament.
Cal Lutheran finishes 23-4 overall and 14-2 in SCIAC play, winning the regular season title.

Addo-Ashong led the Sagehens with a .375 hitting percentage, and also had three blocks. She had another standout game yesterday against No. 22 La Verne, finishing that match with nine kills.
Freshman Isabel Kelly nearly matched her career-high 17 kills in the match, finishing with a game-high 16 kills. Kelly finishes the regular season with 248 kills, good enough for seventh in the SCIAC. Kelly added 13 digs and three blocks in the match.
Julia Zwaal also totalled double-digit kills, finishing with 11 and adding 10 digs. She leads the Sagehens and ranks third in the SCIAC with 294 kills.
Next Match: The Sagehens have a chance at revenge against the Regals when they travel to Thousand Oaks for the first round of the SCIAC Postseason Tournament. The game is set for next Thursday at a time TBA.
