La Verne picked up where they left off, breaking out on a 9-2 run thanks to three kills by Kiana Valdivieso. The Sagehens broke out of their slump as they went on a 6-1 run, thanks in part by some solid play from Kayla Krilove who recorded a service ace and kill during that run. The two teams traded points as the Hens narrowed the gap 13-11, but the Leopards finally pulled away with a 4-0 run. After taking a 17-13 lead, La Verne rallied again with an 8-1 run to seal the second set 25-14.

With the game tied at 10 apiece, the two sides traded points for majority of the set until the Sagehens grinded their way to a 21-20 lead thanks to two straight kills by Izzy Deatherage. However, the Leopards came back with a 5-1 run to seal the set 25-22.
