Riverside, Calif. - The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Water Polo team opened the 2015 season with two losses at the Lancer Mini-Invitational on Saturday, falling 13-3 to No. 14 UC Santa Barbara and 12-8 to CSU Bakersfield.

Senior Alyssa Woodward had two goals in each match for the Sagehens, while Hope Grant (pictured) added two in the nightcap against CSU Bakersfield.

Also tallying goals for the Sagehens against Bakersfield were Miranda Green, Carter Grant, Morgan McCracken (her first collegiate goal), and Mahalia Prater-Fahey. Pomona-Pitzer was down just 7-5 at the half, but a 3-0 run to start the second half out the game away.
