The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Football Team for NCAA Division III. Pomona-Pitzer seniors Austin Prather and Elan Harris were among those selected.
Prather was a four-year starter on the offensive line. During his time, he helped lead a senior class that took the Sagehens from a two-win team to a seven-win team. Prather has shown his versatility on the offensive line, playing all the positions along the front, starting at tackle first three years and moved to guard mid-season his senior year. Prather is student at Pomona College with a 3.83 GPA. A Public Policy major, he has completed two summer internships in US State Department in Washington DC.
Harris also earned All-District as a defensive back. Harris earned First Team All-SCIAC this season as a corner as well. He led a secondary that led the SCIAC in interceptions with 14 total picks. Harris led the league himself in interceptions with six and ended his career with 15. He also had 35 tackles this season with one forced fumble and five pass breakups. Harris is a Biology major with a 3.64 GPA at Pomona College. He intends to attend medical school next year.
