La Verne, Calif. - Sophomore Jordan Fox (pictured, photo by Bob Palermini) shot a 73 to help the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team finish fourth at the SCIAC Preview Tournament, hosted by La Verne on Monday afternoon at Sierra La Verne Country Club.

Fox's 73 tied him for fifth among all competitors, and fourth among players entered in the team competition (Kentan Reddy of CMS shot a 68, but competed as an individual). Bryan Wise of Chapman finished with a 67 to lead everyone.

Pomona-Pitzer also received a 78 from senior Chandler Jennings, a 79 from sophomore Kevin Knox and an 81 from freshman Brian Fong to finish with a 311, placing fourth overall, just behind CMS with a 304.

La Verne and Chapman tied for first with a 293, with La Verne earning first place to the higher fifth-place score. Occidental tallied a 324 and Whittier a 326 to round out the six-team field.

Pomona-Pitzer will be in action again this weekend, along with the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf team, when it competes in the first SCIAC regular season two-day tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
