Fong's 76 Leads Way For Sagehens

Las Vegas, Nev. - Freshman Brian Fong (pictured - photo by Bob Palermini) had the top round for the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team at the two-day Las Vegas Desert Classic, shooting a 76 on Monday at the Paiute Golf Club.

Pomona-Pitzer came in 17th place overall at the event, which was hosted by Missouri-St. Louis, with a team two-day score of 637.

Fong had a two-day score of 158 to tie for 62nd overall on the individual leaders, while senior Chandler Jennings and sophomore Kevin Knox were both one stroke behind with a 159. Jeremy Gomberg of Redlands finished first with a 142, winning by two strokes.

Pomona-Pitzer is back in action on March 14 for a dual match against Chapman.
