Knox Shoots 71 At Baldy View Shootout

Upland, Calif. - Sophomore Kevin Knox shot a 71 to tie for fifth place out of 39 competitors at the Baldy View Shootout on Saturday at Upland Hills Country Club, hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

As a team, the Sagehens finished tied for third out of six SCIAC schools with a 299. La Verne won with a 279, led by Andre Bedard's 64, while CMS was second with 285 and Chapman and Pomona-Pitzer each finished wtih 299. Occidental (301) and Whittier (308) rounded out the field.

Senior Chandler Jennings also had a strong round, tying for 13th place with a 73. Jordan Fox (77) and Joe Wagner (78) finished third and fourth on the Sagehens to account for the team's other points.

Pomona-Pitzer will be back in action on Wednesday, April 23 when it faces Chapman at Tustin Ranch in a dual match.
