Fox Finishes First At Tustin Ranch

Claremont, Calif. - Jordan Fox (pictured) shot an even-par 72 to finish in first place on Wednesday out of 13 competitors at the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team's dual match with Chapman at Tustin Ranch.

Sophomore Kevin Knox finished one stroke behind Fox in a four-way tie for second with a 73, along with Chapman's Nickolas Gates, Josh Hurst and Bryan Wise.

The Sagehens only sent four competitors, so the tournament was turned into an individual competition with no dual score. Chapman earned a 299 from its top four golfers, and the Sagehens would have had a 326 if they were competing in the team competition. Senior Chandler Jennings and freshman Brian Fong did not participate, who are usually in Pomona-Pitzer's top four.

The Sagehens will be in action this weekend for the SCIAC Championships, which will take place from Sunday-Tuesday at Oak Valley Golf Club with Redlands serving as the host.
