Men's Golf: Sagehens End Day One Of SCIAC Championships In 6th Place

BEAUMONT, Calif. – The Pomona-Pitzer men's golf team ended day one of the 2016 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at the Oak Valley Golf Club in sixth place overall with a score of 304.

The Sagehens were led by Kevin Knox and Mitchell Weeks who both finished tied for eighth place with a round of 74.

Conor Rooney finished day one in 22nd overall as he shot a 77 in round one and Gilbert Chang finished in a tie for 29th with a 79.

Finishing out day one for Pomona-Pitzer was Geoff Holland who finished in 39th with an 83 and right behind him was Spencer Katchman who shot an 85, which landed him in 40th overall.

The Sagehens will continue the SCIAC Championships on Monday, April 25th with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m.
