Men's Golf: Rooney Takes First In Final Outing Of The Fall

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team wrapped up their 2016 fall season with a loss to Occidental at Via Verde Country Club.

The Tigers came out on top during the dual match and beat the Sagehens by the score of 310-323.

Pomona-Pitzer was led by Conor Rooney who finished in first place with a round-low of 73.

The next two finishers for the Sagehens were Jack Carrigan and Spencer Katchman who finished in a tie for fourth place with a score of 78.

Rounding out the top-five for Pomona-Pitzer was David Song and Sam Swayer who both ended in a tie for 12th with a score of 85.

Geoffery Hollard took 14th with a score of 86, Gilbert Chang finished in 15th with an 87 and Brian Fong ended the round in 16th with an 89.

The Sagehens will break until the start of their spring season which kicks off with the SCIAC 1 at Brookside on Saturday, February 18th at 8:00 a.m.
