Men's Golf: Sagehens Finish In 11th Place At TMU Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team took 11th place overall at the TMU Invitational this weekend at Robinson Ranch.

The Sagehens finished with an overall score of 884 during the three-round tournament for a +44, which was just two strokes behind fellow SCIAC opponent Cal Lutheran who finished in 10th overall.

 Leading the Sagehens was Conor Rooney who led the team with a fourth place finish as he shot a 67, 67 and a 72 for an overall score of 206.

Sam Sawyers had the next best score for the Sagehens as he shot a 72, 74 and 76 for an overall score of 222, which landed him in a tie for 47th.

Owen Rosebeck ended up in a tie for 56th overall as he shot consistent rounds of 76, 75 and 75 for a score of 226 and Gilbert Chang tied for 65th after he shot a 73 in round one and a 79 and 80 in his final two rounds for a score of 232.

Rounding out the scoring for the Sagehens was David Song who placed 71st overall with scores of 82, 77 and 87 for a total score of 242.
