Pomona-Pitzer Men's Swimming Takes Second At Winter Collegiate Invitational; Women Finish In Fifth

COMMERCE, CA -- Pomona-Pitzer men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished the Collegiate Winter Invitational this Sunday on the campus of La Verne.

The men's team took second place with 1,286 points and the women finished in fifth Place with 970.5 points.

Senior Chrisi Morrison finished in third place in the 200 Yard Fly clocking in at 2:12.20. Freshman Jack Swanson posted a time of 49.19 in the 100 Yard Free, good for eighth place.

Senior Jenna Haufler finished the 100 Yard Free in ninth place with a time of 55.54 and teammate freshman Mariah Bowman finished in 12th with a time of 55.74.

Pomona-Pitzer men's diver freshman Michael Schuur finished in third place in the One Meter Dive with a final score of 149.65. The women's divers finished the One Meter Dive with senior Dawn Barlow in fourth with a score of 225.30 and senior Stephanie Merchant finished in ninth with 122.90.

Pomona-Pitzer's aquatics students will then take a break for academic finals, and will resume competition Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at home against Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
