Men's Swimming and Diving: Sagehens Take Second at Winter Collegiate Invitational

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – The No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer Men's Swimming and Diving team concluded the three-day Collegiate Winter Invitational with a second place finish Sunday night at East Los Angeles College.

The Sagehens finished the meet with 651 points, behind only Division II Concordia University who won the invite with 869 points. SCIAC rivals University of La Verne (602) and Whittier College (509) followed behind.

NAIA opponent Biola Univeristy finished in fifth place with 395 points. Occidental College (294) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (68) rounded out the standings.

Danny Villars - Third place finish, 100 yard butterfly (51.26)

Next Meet: The Sagehens break for a month before heading up north to Washington. Pomona-Pitzer will race against Division I Seattle University on January 6 at 5:00 pm and then face the University of Puget Sound on January 7 at 1:00 pm.
