COMMERCE, CA — Mark Hallman won the 200 yard freestyle, the Sagehens set a program record in the 400 yard medley relay, and the Pomona-Pizer Men's Swimming and Diving team held on to their first place overall lead on the third day of the SCIAC Championships.

Mark Hallman won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.69. The time was the fastest in the SCIAC this year in the event and an NCAA B-Cut. Hallman set Pomona-Pitzer record in the event last season with a time of 1:38.55
Ben Culberson from CMS placed second with a time of 1:41.35, and Jackson Crewe also from CMS placed third at 1:41.49.
400 Medley Relay
The Sagehens took second in the 400 yard medley relay, setting a program record, in an extremely close finish. The combination of Daniel To, Teddy Koerner, Ryan Drover, and Mark Hallman finished with a NCAA B-Cut time of 3:20.89, just behind CMS (3:20.75). The Sagehens previous record in the event was set in 2015 at a time of 3:21.74.
Caltech finished third with a time of 3:23.46.
400 Individual Medley
Liam O'Shea took second place in the 400 IM and made an NCAA B-Cut with a time of 3:59.53. O'Shea's performance was the fastest of the year for the Sagehens.
Henry Limm from CMS won the event with a time of 3:59.39, and Benjamin Brewer placed third with a time of 4:01.34.
In the 100 yard butterfly, Ryan Drover finished on the podium with a second place finish. His time of 49.00 is an NCAA B-Cut and the fastest time for the Sagehens this season in the event.
The Stags' Matthew Williams won the race with a SCIAC meet record 48.66. Occidental's Austin Lashley placed third with a time of 49.17.
Teddy Koerner was the top finisher for the Sagehens in the 100 yard breaststoke, taking fourth with a time of 57.38. The time was the fastest of the year for Pomona-Pitzer.
Caltech's Tom Gallup won the race with a time of 55.62, Tyler Welty from CMS took second, and Brandon Tran from Whittier College took third at 56.67.
Daniel To took fourth place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.04. Matthew Williams from CMS won the event (48.69), Joe Widuch from Redlands finished second (50.03), and Dave Makhervaks from CMS placed third (50.44).
