Men's Swimming and Diving: No. 19 Sagehens Boast Several All-SCIAC Selections

CLAREMONT, CA — Six individuals and all five relay teams from the No. 19 Pomona-Pitzer Men's Swimming and Diving team were named All-SCIAC, the conference office announced.

The list includes Adrian Hui who won the 50 yard freestyle at the SCIAC Championships with a time of 20.60, and Mark Hallman who won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:36.69. Hallman also made the list for placing third in the 500 yard freestyle (4:32.10).

Samuel To made the list after finishing second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:51.43. Freshman Liam O'Shea earned a spot for taking second in the 400 yard IM (3:59.53). 

Sophomores Ryan Drover and Teddy Koerner also made the list. Drover for finishing second in the 100 yard butterfly (49.00), and Koerner for taking third in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:04.51).

The Sagehens' three champion relay teams also highlight the list. The 200 freestyle relay team (Adrian Hui, Mark Hallman, Ryan Drover, Samuel To) won their event with a time of 1:22.13. The 400 yard freestyle relay team (Danny Villars, Samuel To, Hui, Hallman) won their race at 3:03.00. The 200 medley team (Daniel To, Teddy Koerner, Villars, Hui) took first at 1:31.31.

Pomona-Pitzer's two second place relay teams also made the list. The 400 yard medley relay team (Daniel To, Koerner, Villars, Hui) took second with a time of 3:20.89, and the 800 yard freestyle relay team (Samuel To, Zach Senator, Will Abele, Hallman) took second at 6:44.02.

The SCIAC's nine head coaches voted upon the Athlete, Newcomer, and Coach of the Year while the All-SCIAC recipients were based on performance at the SCIAC Championships.
