"We set numerous personal records today, which shows we're headed in the right direction," said Head Coach Kirk Reynolds. "But some of our athletes also got a big overwhelmed with all that goes on in a collegiate meet. We need to maintain our confidence and continue to work on translating the things we do in practice over to our competitions. Our next meet is a scoring SCIAC meet at home on Saturday. We're really looking forward to that."
The Pomona-Pitzer men's track and field team also participated in the CMS Rossi Relays at the Burns Track & Field Complex.
John Fowler finished in third place in the 3000 meter run as he clocked in with a time of 8:34.12.
The men's 4x800 meter relay team recorded the second fastest time at the Rossi Relays with a time of 7:54.99. The 4x400 meter relay team went on to take ninth place with a final time of 3:28.41.
The Sagehens also went on to place seventh in the javelin throw with Calvin Aylward finishing with a throw of 179.07 feet.
The Sagehens next host Redlands, Whittier and Cal Lutheran in a SCIAC Quad Meet on Saturday, March 5th at Strehle Track at 11:00 a.m.
