CLAREMONT, CA — The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Track and Field team scored two individual wins in the annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
The meet hosts colleges and universities among all divisions, unattached runners, along with some professional and national team representatives.
Pomona-Pitzer had a strong showing in the steeplechase with three runners finishing in the top ten. Julian DeGroot-Lutzner scored a win for the Sagehens with a time of 9:23.92. Teammate Danny Rosen took fourth with a personal best time of 9:29.84, and Parker Head finished in sixth with a time of 9:39.67.
Calvin Aylward added another win for the Sagehens in the javelin. The Pomona-Pitzer record holder in the event won with a throw of 194-07.
Daniel Hill took seventh in the 5000 meter run, crossing the line with a time of 15:29.36.
Christopher Neikirk was the top Division III finisher and sixth overall in the 400 meter hurdles. The two-time SCIAC Athlete of the Week finished with a time of 54.02.
Senior Reggie Reed took ninth in the shot put with a throw of 45-03.75.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Rashidi, Abele, Chan, and Lucas White Moon took seventh with a time of 3:28.83. White Moon also took twelfth in the triple jump with a leap of 43-01.50.
