Distance Runners Shine At Larson Distance Carnival

LOS ANGELES, CA. – A handful of runners from the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Track and Field team competed in the Bob Larson Distance Carnival at UCLA on late Friday night. Competing against athletes from Division I and II institutes, the Sagehens performed extremely well as several athletes broke personal records.

"It was a successful night for our small group of distance athletes who competed at UCLA," said Head Coach Jordan Carpenter. "Danny and Andy were looking to set national qualifying marks in their respective events and both ran times that should make the NCAA National Championships come May."

He currently holds the fastest time among Division III athletes in the nation and is 5th all-time in the program's record book.
