NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Carter Floyd of the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Track & Field Team made program history today, becoming the first male Sagehen to be named to the United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week. Floyd earned this honor just after recording the fastest 800 Meter time in the nation at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational this past Saturday with a time of 1:51.29. His time was just .01 seconds ahead of the second-best time by Tucker Cargile from University of Redlands.
