Hope International Pulls Away From Sagehens

Fullerton, Calif. - Andrina Rendon had 27 points on 11-17 shooting to lead the Hope International Women's Basketball team to a 92-48 win over Pomona-Pitzer in a non-league game on Monday evening.

Freshman forward Basha Brulee-Wills (pictured) had a strong effort for the Sagehens with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while sophomore forward Jenn Okonkwo had 12 points and eight rebounds. 

The Sagehens were within 16-15 early after a putback from junior forward Maria Weyhrauch, but Hope International went on an 18-2 run to take a 34-17 lead and then went on a 14-0 run to take a 48-19 lead into halftime.

Brittany Bauman added 18 points for Hope International, while Marissa Rendon had 13.

Pomona-Pitzer, which falls to 7-14 on the year, will be back in action on Saturday when it travels to Chapman for a 7 p.m. contest.
