CHINO HILLS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf team finished in fourth place at the CMS Invitational on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Los Serranos Golf Course.
The Sagehens finished with a final score of +71, which was just four strokes off of third place finisher Occidental College at +67. Whittier College took second place as they shot a +32 and CMS won the invitational with a score of +44.
Pomona-Pitzer was led by Gabrielle Herzig who finished as the runner-up with a second place score of 153 as she shot a 75 in round one and a 78 in round two.
Andi Chaloult finished just outside the top-five as she ended in a tie for sixth place overall as she shot an 86 in round one and came back with a round-low score of 73 to finish with a score of 159.
Victoria Vardenega ended her rounds in a tie for 14th as she shot an 86 and an 84 for a score of 170. Just behind her was Kailtin Robertson to shot a consistent 86 in both rounds and ended with a score of 172, which landed her in a tie for 16th.
Priscilla Ki started the invitational for the Sagehens as she shot a 79 in round one which had her tied for fifth overall after the first day but had to withdraw for the second round.
Up Next: The Sagehens ended their fall schedule and will not compete again until they begin their spring season on February 17th as they compete in the Maurice Walker Championship at Via Verde.
