Women's Golf: Sagehens Take Third After Day 1 Of SCIAC

PASADENA, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf Team wrapped up the first day of the SCIAC Championship at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, CA, tied for third place, hitting 31-over as a team. The University of Redlands took the lead at 18-over while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps sit in second at 30-over.

Priscilla Ki played in the no. 2 spot and finished tied for fourth in the individual leaderboard at +5. Ki's performance was carried by a hot start, shooting a birdie in the first and third hole to maintain a low stroke count.

Stephanie Yu performed well in the no. 6 spot, shooting a birdie in the third hole and hitting two more birdies in the back nine at the 14th and 16th hole. She finished the day tied for seventh at +6.

Sophia Hui finished tied for 21st while playing in the no. 1 spot, hitting even in 11 holes and finishing 11-over.

Annabelle Huether and Gabrielle Herzig finished tied for 18th after shooting +10 and Andi Chaloult was tied for 35th after shooting 17-over.

Up Next: The Sagehens will return to Brookside tomorrow morning for the second round the SCIAC.
