PASADENA, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf team finished in third place at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships on Saturday afternoon at Brookside Golf Club.
The Sagehens finished third at the SCIAC Championships and also take third in the final standings of the SCIAC including scores from the SCIAC I and SCIAC II.
Pomona-Pitzer ended with a three-day total of 946, which was 12 strokes away from Redlands in second with 934. CMS took first at 915, Chapman finished behind the Sagehens in fourth at 973, Whittier in fifth at 974, Cal Lutheran in sixth at 987, Occidental in seventh at 999 and La Verne in eighth at 1100.
The Sagehens were led by Sophia Hui who finished strong in day three as she finished in 11th overall with a 73 in round three to bring her score to 236. Just Behind Hui was Stephanie Yu and Priscilla Ki. Yu took 12th as she also shot her day in day three with a 76 for a score of 237 and Ki took 13th with an 81 in round three for a final score of 238.
Annabelle Huether finished in a tie for 18th overall with a 78 in round three for a score of 245 and Andi Chaloult took 20th after shooting a 79 in round three to round out the top-five with a score of 246. Ending the day for the Sagehens was Gabrielle Herzig who finished in a tie for 31st with an 86 in round three for a score of 254.
