VENTURA, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf Team shook off the offseason rust and impressed at the California State Intercollegiate at Olivas Links, finishing tied for second with a team score of 592 (+16). University of Redlands narrowly won the tournament with a final score of 590 (+14).
Andi Chaloult impressed in her season debut, finishing tied for second in the individual board with a final score of 144 (E). She shot 74 (+2) in the first round, but scored 70 in the second round. She finished the tournament with the second-most birdies with seven. First year Abby Euyang impressed in her collegiate debut, finishing tied for 11th with a score of 151 (+7) after shooting 76 in the first round (+4) and 75 (+3) in the second. She scored four birdies and hit par in 23 holes. Her classmate Yena Jang also tied for 11th at 151 after hitting 74 (+2) in the first round and 77 in the second (+5).
Stephanie Yu ended her day tied for 21st with a score of 155 (+11). She scored 73 in the first day and 82 (+10) in the second. Annabelle Huether finished in 28th with a score of 158 (+14). She shot 85 in the first round and 73 in the second.
